Ian Bennie & Associates - NATA accredited Laboratory, recently tested Paarhammer bi-fold doors and found that not only did the inward opening timber bi-fold doors achieve a 150 pa water penetration rating and very low 0.3 air infiltration, but they also easily passed the ultimate strength test of +2,000 pa.
Paarhammer bi-fold doors also include double rebated frames, rubber seals and several locking points all around each leaf, ensuring an almost airtight fit and eliminating drafts.
Combined with a variety of double glazing options, they can save up to 76 per cent of energy and reduce unwanted sound by up to 45 dB. Made with a thermally broken aluminium threshold which is recessed into the floor, the doors can provide a seamless transition from inside to outside. There is also the option of having one door with a tilt function for ventilation.
Up to 10m wide and 2.8m high, bi-fold doors can be made in different timbers including FSC certified and bushfire rated timbers and a variety of finishes. All Paarhammer products are custom-made.
