Architectus expands leadership team


Architectus announces the appointment of Oliver Mayger as Principal at their Melbourne studio and expects his presence will strengthen their commercial and residential design offering.

Welcoming Mayger to the Architectus team, Managing Director Ray Brown described the appointment as representative of their continued focus on the residential and commercial sectors.

Mayger brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role at Architectus, including nine years at SJB’s Melbourne studio with the last three years as Director. He has considerable experience working with leading public and private sector clients on urban design, mixed use, multi-unit residential, commercial, leisure/hospitality, education and philanthropic projects.

At SJB, Mayger was responsible for the design and delivery of numerous significant medium and high density residential projects including RAPTL, Green Square and Cirque in Richmond, the Guilfoyle at Southbank, Caulfield Village Stage 1 in Caulfield, the Warleigh in Brighton and Mode apartments in South Yarra. He was also involved in the delivery of the RACV Healesville Country Club, the forecourt and common spaces upgrade at Collins Place, Melbourne and the DA approval for the Flinders Gate office development (in association with Woods Bagot).

Originally from the UK, Oliver has also worked with Paul Brookes Architects and Carey Jones Architects in the UK, and Paterson Group Architects in Perth, Australia.
