The theme for the 2015 Festival of Landscape Architecture will be ‘This Public Life’ and will see international artists, engineers and landscape architects convene in Melbourne for a three day celebration of landscape architecture.

The program was launched at a Melbourne city rooftop party on Thursday 16 April by Festival Creative Directors, Claire Martin, Cameron Bruhn and Ricky Ricardo, who also revealed the line-up of local and international speakers to lead the conversation at the Festival.

This Public Life will be presented from 15 - 18 October and will call on experts from different fields to encourage interdisciplinary awareness and enhance the public’s understanding of landscape architecture.

Spanish Landscape architect Martí Franch Batllor, Australian artist and engineer Natalie Jeremijenko, and Dutch landscape architect Cees van der Veeken have been announced on the list of speakers and were highlighted by the AILA as event drawcards.

The Festival program will include a landscape architecture conference at Federation Square, a research summit, awards night, opening party, design competition, exhibition, tours and film screenings.
