The upcoming South Pacific Passive House Conference will focus on new developments in the application of Passivhaus in local markets and organisers are expecting over 200 delegates to attend.
To be held on 12th and 13th February 2016 at the University of Melbourne, the conference will feature presentations from global Passive House experts on the enormous savings potential of good design as well as a trade exhibition with participation from product and component suppliers and manufacturers. The conference will also feature networking events, site tours and hands-on masterclasses at various locations across the city.
Co-hosted by the Australian Passive House Association and the Passive House Institute of New Zealand, the conference will seek to demonstrate the importance of well-conceived and consistent action in the building sector for a successful transition to a sustainable energy future.
The first South Pacific Passive House Conference was held in Auckland in February 2015 and saw participation by over 100 delegates. Attendance at the second conference this year in Melbourne is expected to double with local and international delegates having already expressed keen interest.
The conference will be held on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th February, with masterclasses and site tours planned for the days before and after.
