Cabin shelters for walkers taking the Three Capes Track challenge, student residences at the University of Tasmania and a major redevelopment at a public square on Henley Beach, SA were some of the big winners at the recently announced 2016 Australian Timber Design Awards.

Organised to promote outstanding timber design in the built environment segment, the awards program this year saw 18 projects from across Australia being honoured in 24 categories. The Timber Design Awards are open to builders, designers, architects, engineers and landscapers or anyone involved in the design or building of structures that feature timber.
