Several products from Studco Building Systems were specified for a particularly challenging application at the new Engineering and Information Technology Building, recently unveiled by the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS).

Located at one of Sydney’s busiest intersections on Broadway, the new building provides a new dramatic gateway to the UTS City Campus and downtown Sydney. UTS’ new Engineering and Information Technology Building is the single largest facility to be constructed under their $1 billion City Campus Master Plan.

The 13-storeyed building aims to bring new spaces to life to support both informal and formal learning experiences, providing a vibrant environment for students and staff.

Fast Stud collaborated with Studco to provide various products to the contractor Austem Interiors. These products included stud and track, flexi track and concealed ceiling systems.

Studco and Fast Stud were engaged for this project for the level of service provided as well as their ability to give a quick solution to a challenging application. The main wall in the foyer entrance was curved on a multiple axis. Studco’s Engineering team created a specification that was quite intricate, following which they provided Austem Interiors with a design that suited all parties including the architect, builder and contractor.
