Prefinished lining boards from the Glosswood Designer Lining collection were installed as internal wall cladding for a new waterfront home in Fremantle, WA.

Designed by Tim Wright Architect and Concept Property, and built by Tooltime Construction, the home overlooks the port city of Fremantle, with views of the Swan River and beyond. Architect Tim Wright worked closely with the client, utilising a refined combination of colour and materials.

The beautifully curated material palette used for the interior of the home showcases raw concrete, textured limestone and mid-tone timber lining.

The design team selected Glosswood Designer Lining in Double Profile to clad the walls internally, creating a striking feature in this waterfront home.

Since the design called for extensive cladding throughout the home, ease of installation was one of the primary requirements during the selection of the material. Glosswood’s tongue-and-groove profile simplified installation in the home with the boards running vertically throughout the interior, uniting the different spaces with natural timber. Glosswood boards were also used for the cabinetry.

Featuring a beautiful earthy timber colour, Spotted Gum from Glosswood’s matte range balances the cool tones of the raw concrete used throughout the home, adding warmth to the interior.

Additionally, the builder created beautiful joinery for the home including custom door handles.
