Leading multi-disciplinary design studio, The Designory selected a matt finish roof from the COLORBOND® steel Monument Matt collection for a new home in Byron Bay, NSW.

The 'Barefoot Bay Villa' is The Designory’s latest end-to-end building and interior design project – a stunning new 5-bedroom home, which is part of the 'Barefoot Escapes' boutique accommodation arm of the business.

Commenting on the selection of COLORBOND® steel Monument Matt for the villa’s roofing, The Designory's owner and principal, Melissa Bonney said, "The Matt collection is a real game changer. Over the past few years the appeal of matt finishes has gained more and more momentum offering subtlety and diffusion of light. We are so glad that this is now achievable through COLORBOND® steel products.”

The design studio has been specifying and using COLORBOND® steel in their projects for several years. Bonney explained that the range of colours and profiles makes it easy to ensure that the roof fits into the overall design scheme for the home. Additionally, the steel roof is built to last.

The construction of 'Barefoot Bay Villa' is now complete and COLORBOND® steel Colour and Design Consultant, Christine McCoy sat down with Bonney to discuss the project.
